H: STVASTRO displayed the following sequence on the screen: (seconds): 55, 56, 57, 57, 59, 00 14-03-2003 00:12:56, RMC56 (779, 785, 927) GGA56 (929,->) 14-03-2003 00:12:57, GGA56 (<-, 71) RMC57 (782, 788, 930) GGA57 (932, ->) 14-03-2003 00:12:58, GGA57 (<-, 73) RMC58 (589, 596, 737) GGA58 (739, 881) Comment: At second 56 RMC56 starts late, GGA56 not completed. At second 57 GGA 56 is still transmitted, RMC57 is complete, GGA57 not. At second 58 GGA 57 is still transmitted, RMC58 and GGA58 are complete. Conclusion: I. STVASTRO got a stuck second if ... 1. GGA of second A is still transmitted at beginning of second B. This happens at TWO following seconds (lines). (Example A, D, F, H) 2. GGA of second A is still transmitted at second B, big pause, RMC of second B is not transmitted completely. In second C there is still transmission of part of RMC second B, complete GGA of second B and complete RMC and GGA of second C. (Example B, G) 3. The second A has no RMC and GGA. At second B RMC, GGA of second A and RMC of second C will be sent. GGA of second C not complete. (Example E) II. A really rare STVASTRO mixup (double second followed by two "real second minus one" displays) happen if ... 1. GGA of second A is still transmitted at beginning of second B. This happens at least THREE following seconds. (Example C) Oliver Kloes Eppstein-Bremthal Germany 15 March 2003
