IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (134568) 1999 RH215 / UCAC2 35683515 event on 2012 Sep 01, 17:26 UT Visible from Possibly Asia, Australasia Summary ------- On 2012 Sep 01 UT, the 79 km diameter asteroid (134568) 1999 RH215 will occult a 12.4 mag star in the constellation Pegasus for observers along a path across Possibly Asia, Australasia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 11.5 mag to 23.9 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 3.6 seconds. This update is based on historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
