IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (0) 2004 TE282 / UCAC2 40299389 event on 2008 Dec 07, 19:23 UT Visible from SE Asia, India, Africa Summary ------- On 2008 Dec 07 UT, the 88 km diameter asteroid (0) 2004 TE282 will occult a 13.9 mag star in the constellation Taurus for observers along a path across SE Asia, India, Africa. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 9.1 mag to 22.9 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 3.7 seconds. This update is based on historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
