IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (1086) Nata / TYC 2390-01459-1 event on 2007 Sep 02, 13:48 UT Visible from NE Russia Summary ------- On 2007 Sep 02 UT, the 66 km diameter asteroid (1086) Nata will occult a 11.3 mag star in the constellation Auriga for observers along a path across NE Russia. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 3.8 mag to 15.1 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 2.9 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Alice Monet, historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
