IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (1463) Nordenmarkia / TYC 7362-00555-1 event on 2007 Jul 27, 04:54 UT Visible from Caribbean, Mexico, USA Summary ------- On 2007 Jul 27 UT, the 44 km diameter asteroid (1463) Nordenmarkia will occult a 11.1 mag star in the constellation Scorpius for observers along a path across Caribbean, Mexico, USA. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 5.1 mag to 16.2 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 5.4 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Alice Monet, TMO astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Bill Owen, historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
