IOTA/IOTA-ES occultation update for (328) Gudrun / TYC 4937-00744-1 event on 2007 Jul 01, 01:12 UT Visible from Colombia, Brazil Summary ------- On 2007 Jul 01 UT, the 123 km diameter asteroid (328) Gudrun will occult a 10.1 mag star in the constellation Virgo for observers along a path across Colombia, Brazil. In the case of an occultation, the combined light of the asteroid and the star will drop by 4.5 mag to 14.6 mag (the magnitude of the asteroid) for at most 6.0 seconds. This update is based on UNSO/Flagstaff astrometry for the asteroid kindly provided by Alice Monet, historical astrometry from the MPC files (via AstDys), and the following catalogs for the star position: UCAC.
